He started working with us in 2000 as our Night Auditor.  After 15 years he gained the privilege to move up to General Manager.  He somehow manages to wrangle his team with good humor, charm, and a caring personality. His dream job was to work in the movies as a cinematographer, editor, and/or director.  He enjoys the history surrounding Gettysburg and, especially, seeing our regulars and meeting new guests. Charlie loves animals and has two cats, Spanky and Lily.

She started with us in her early 20’s as a housekeeper in August 2000 and has worked her way to Front Desk Manager.  She is a mighty force in a small package who focuses her knowledge and creativity on our day-to-day operations and online presence.  She is fair and compassionate when working with guests and in balancing the staff’s individual needs with the demands of the hotel. She enjoys helping our staff succeed and advance in their positions.  Charlie would be lost without her invaluable insights and help in “wrangling” our hard-working team.

She started in July 2000 as a housekeeper and is now the senior member of the staff. A true team leader and teacher, she goes the extra mile to help her teammates achieve top-of-the-line training. She is beautiful and conscientious and treats her co-workers as equals and greets our guest with a terrific smile and demeanor. She especially enjoys working in pet-friendly rooms where she loves to meet and welcome our four-legged guests. She has several cats and an energetic Australian Shepherd puppy named Ruby

Don’t let the serious demeanor fool you! Blake is definitely conscientious, knowledgeable, and eager to help, but he as a wonderful, dry sense of humor and a healthy skepticism which we love and also poke good-natured fun of. Blake, like most of our employees, started in Housekeeping and now divides his time between that and Front Desk. Like Keren, Blake knows the hotel’s procedures inside and out, having worked every position and every shift. He is also caring and understanding to his fellow co-workers and covers them when needed. He is very knowledgeable on many topics along with the Civil War and he enjoys outdoor adventuring.

She is a rare jewel who started working with us in 2016 in our laundry. Lupe is great in keeping the laundry department going strong and is wonderful in giving an extra helping hand to her co-workers. Lupe also maintains our landscaping and keeps our parking lot clean. Her bubbly and slyly playful personality never fails to brighten everyone’s day! She also spoils us with her homemade guacamole and other delicious treats. Here, she is shown with her parents.

Eileen is our resilient, vibrant and cheerful girl. Eileen has a full-time job, but still finds time for us. We are very fortunate to have her on our team on the weekend since 2017. She is a great cook and favors us with wonderful and delicious treats. The oddest things seem to happen on her shifts, but she overcomes all challenges and solves all problems with a smile.

Alex, or A-Bomb as he is known to us, has led a fascinating life and is now here using his experiences to help us and our guests. Among other jobs, Alex has been a ship's captain on the Chesapeake Bay so there is little at the hotel that he can't handle. His steady leadership is invaluable to guide and help our staff. Like Blake he is very knowledgeable about the battle and local establishments.

Sadrac is our fashion-forward Front Desk clerk and also the welcoming voice when you call and leave a voice mail. We are very lucky to have him, since his fulltime job is with the Adams County Witness Assistance program. You will immediately know who Sadrac is once you see his welcoming smile and helpful demeanor.

Our man of all trades. Billy has worked with us since our doors opened in 2000 as our numero uno maintenance man. He has a welcome,subtle sense of humor, often despite facing leaky pipes, balky air conditioners, or mysterious electrical outages. If he can’t fix it or rebuild it we know we’re in trouble! He enjoys working on antique pickups and motorcycles in his spare time and then taking them out on the road.

Cheyenne is our second generation Housekeeper. She is a tremendous help in our weekend staff and has the same commitment as her mom Tina. Cheyenne is shy, but has a strong will whom has accomplished hard long term goals with great effort She has passed these qualities to her daughter who may become our first third generation housekeeper to join our team in the summer of 2021. Check back this summer to meet her!

Autumn is our third-generation housekeeper. You most definitely can see her grandmother Tina and her mom Cheyenne in her. Autumn has achieved so many goals, one of which is graduating from high school this coming summer of 2024. She also loves photography and hopes to make it her profession once she graduates.

Dylan is a proper and respectful young man that we are very lucky to have on our team. He is a housekeepers and also assists Lupe with our breakfast. He graduated high school in 2023 and is now on the way to accomplishing his goal to become an Electrician very, very soon.

Our gracious weekend Night Auditor for 19 years. She has a heart of gold and infinite patience that everyone loves, which we try not to take (too much) advantage of. Very understanding and caring to her co-workers, she will go out of her way when someone is in need. Diane is very hospitable no matter how late it is, if a guest would love a cup of tea she will happily prepare it for them. Diane is a pet lover as well and she has three cats of her own. Very artistic in many disciplines, she applies her talents to her work and shares her skills with her co-workers--you should see Blake’s new sweater!

Originally from upstate New York, she moved to Pennsylvania in 2007 and since then she has been our longtime employee at the Front Desk after starting in Housekeeping. She has extensive knowledge of our American History, a true asset to our team and guidance to our guests during their stay. She trains most of our Front Desk staff to meet our high standard of hospitality. She loves to quilt and has made several beautiful ones for her co-workers. She is a full-time student at Millersville University who started with us during high school in 2014 at the Front Desk. We have had the privilege to see her work towards and achieve her goals. She is a true go-getter and her outgoing personality enriches everyone around her; however, as a Sociology/Criminology major she will soon be making life extremely difficult for tomorrow's trouble makers! Lucero loves animals, especially her dog Leo, who she rescued. Now Leo has a home, a wonderful, loving owner, and an entire family to spoil him.

Olivia is a true sweetheart. She started here as a Penn State student studying Hospitality Management and graduated last year. She put her energy, education, and vibrant personality to great use at all positions and shifts here and we were lucky to have her on our team. She is now pursuing her career goals in the Harrisburg area and we dearly miss her cheerful disposition and hard work. She does occasionally help us out when we are short staff, so you may have the chance to see Olivia.

Jenny is a sweet and shy girl that joined our team in 2017. Her beautiful smile makes our guests feel welcome and also is a wonderful helper to her fellow co-workers. Jenny works part-time on the weekends and occasionally on weekdays, which we greatly appreciate. We love her treats from Mexico that she lovingly brings back for us each time she returns from her vacation.

Our dynamic duo! These two cuties joined our team in 2021 and are a wonderful pair to work with. Matthew is our full time night auditor. Madeline helps us in Housekeeping and works 2nd shift at our Front Desk. We are so lucky to have this rambunctious pair in our team that gives us youth and entertainment.
